The Consignment
Tracking System allows consigned items to be tracked and
accounted for in the OR, Pharmacy or other hospital
department. Each consigned item is individually
assigned a unique bar code label so it may be identified
while in inventory, when issued, or when returned, by a
single bar code scan. Consignment
items are tracked separately from “owned” items.
The Consignment Tracking
System includes
an item database and label printing capabilities to
laser print industry standard labels for item or shelf
identification. The item or shelf identification label
is used to assist in scanning when the Consignment Bar
Code label is unavailable or cannot be scanned. The
system also prints unique bar code labels for those
items with a unique serial number so they can be easily
tracked. The
system includes robust Receipt, Issue, Return to Stock,
Return to Vendor and Putaway functionality.
The system
maintains a database of consignment items, including
serial numbers, associated expiration dates and/or lot
numbers (if entered). Transactions may be recorded
either using a portable bar code reader or a fixed bar
code reader attached to a workstation.
The Consignment Tracking Module also
includes Par Level management functions, including
calculation of replenishment using par levels and
issue/order quantities, including min/max calculations
and usage analysis for reordering.
Consignment Tracking can be interfaced to
your to financials system to support automatic
requisitioning of consignment items. The new interface
will create requisitions for subsequent order creation
and placement by your financials system such as
PeopleSoft, Lawson, Geac/Infor,
Eclipsys to name a few. |
